Real Weddings – Rachel & Zack
I’m starting a new series of blog posts (hoping to do one a month) that feature a real wedding - the inspiration, photos and an interview with the couple! The first one is Rachel and Zack – a wonderful couple who love to do trivia each Tuesday and are huge Ohio State fans! From the save the date to the thank you cards, we worked together to make it a beautiful seamless stationery design.
Brittney: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Rachel: My favorite part of our wedding (besides marrying my wonderful husband of course) was having all of our close friends and family together. It's one of those situations where I don't think we will ever have all of our loved ones together in the same place at the same time again. People are busy and it's always hard to coordinate, so it was nice to look out at all of the people who care about us all having fun together.
Invitations and stationery were important because it was the first impression our guests were going to have about our wedding…
B: Why were invitations and stationery important to you?
R: Invitations and stationery were important because it was the first impression our guests were going to have about our wedding. They would set the vibe for what type of wedding we were going to have... and that is a lot to expect from a piece of paper! We also really wanted to add a personal touch, which is why we loved having the hand-drawn map. It was one of a kind!
B: Do you have any advice for couples looking for invitations/stationery?
R: The advice I have for couples looking for invitations and stationery is to make sure that the invite pairs well with your theme and don't be afraid to ask for whatever that is! I approached Brittney with an unusual request for library cards and she made it happen. It fit perfectly with what was inside my head.
B: What advice do you have for couples who are wedding planning?
R: The advice I have for wedding planning is to make sure it stays fun. It's easy to become overwhelmed with silly decisions like what color bows will be on the favors but in reality... nobody will really even notice but you. ;) What I remember most is not all of the signage and flowers I agonized over, but marrying my fantastic husband and spending our special day with our loved ones.
